Skyrim: Ill Met by Moonlight — Where to Start and Rewards
Ill Met by Moonlight can be started in two different ways. This guide shows where to begin and what rewards are available from each outcome.
Ways to Start
The quest can be discovered through Mathies in Falkreath or begun directly by speaking with Sinding in jail.
Speak with Mathies at his farm in Falkreath.
Mathies can usually be found working at his farm near Falkreath. Ask him what happened to his daughter, and he will direct you to speak with Sinding in Falkreath Jail.
Speak with Sinding in Falkreath Jail.
You can approach Sinding directly in the lower jail beneath Falkreath Barracks, although speaking with Mathies first provides the intended introduction to the quest.
Rewards
Spare Sinding
Help Sinding defeat Hircine's hunters and allow him to live.
Ring of Hircine
A Daedric ring that grants additional werewolf transformations when worn by a werewolf.
Kill Sinding
Follow Hircine's command, kill Sinding, and take his hide.
Savior's Hide
A unique Daedric light armor cuirass that provides resistance to magic and poison.
